Day 2:
Minneapolis to Mankato
One down, eight to go.
Last night's tour opener at HUGE theatre was fantastic. Getting the chance to play on a stage that is built by improvisers for improvisers was a dream come true. Butch Roy and all the people at HUGE are doing really great and important work building a national improv scene in the twin cities. One of the highlights of the night was getting to play with the HUGE pianast, Jack. Music is such a great addition to an improv performance. It's a subtle change that really helps bring the audience along on the ride. The Bearded Men performed an improvised form based on the game Dungeons and Dragons. I've never played the game, but you didn't have to to know those guys were killin' it!
Today we are off to Mankato, Minnesota to play the What's Up Lounge. We will be leaving Minneapolis around 2pm. A huge thank you to our friends and family in the cities who made it to the show and to our friend Jake Huffcutt for letting us crash at his place!
