It's been over a month now since our last show and we're back with an entirely fresh group mind for improv! Before I get into the details, let's reflect on the summer of 2013...
We had over ten performances in just three months, ranging everywhere from the Glassworks Playhouse to the State Theater here in Eau Claire. Our team discovered new bits of our connected lives within each and every performance, and those that were there can attend to that fact. Ambient Inks sales rep Scott Kunkel noted late in the summer that "Every show is ten times better than the last!" How about that? We've really appreciated everyone in the community that has been supporting the birth of Glassworks and all of the performers that we've had the honor of sharing the stage with. Check out our past shows to see a list of other performers, or look at our photos to see them in action. We closed out our summer season performing at the State Theater, perhaps the most beautiful venue available in the Chippewa Valley. Props to Ben Richgruber for helping us out with that. There's a rare opportunity for you to view a bit of that performance here if you happened to miss it.
Moving on...
We're now just a week away from the Breakfast for Dinner Tour, and this Friday Glassworks is warming up with a show in the Playhouse featuring punk bands Puncher and Arms Aloft. 9PM, $4, worth it. Did I mention that this is the debut performance for Puncher? Really, you don't want to miss it.
Glassworks has also been working with our coach, Rick Andrews from New York! He's provided us with a load of professional insight, comments, and technique. We've stepped things up a notch.
We're all excited to be back, and remember to stay updated on our whereabouts on glassworksimprov.com!
With Love,
-Glassworks
