Yesterday, Dan Forke and Eric Wells (Wealthy Relative and Sayth) released their new album "Dream Feast" and they followed their official online release with a house show at Dan's. Glassworks opened the show with a 25-minute set which was followed by the hip-hop artists' newest songs. U of M students made up most of the audience and they were amazing! Huge thanks to Dan and his roommates for hosting and to everybody that made the show so dang fun.
Now we're back in Eau Claire for about 24 hours. It was a pleasure calling the Twin Cities home this past week. We met dozens of wonderful new people and played some truly fun shows. Our first taste of tour was sweet indeed -- it feels almost surreal that we get to continue this pilgrimage of comedy and hip-hop.
One week into this thing, it's more evident than ever that my tour mates, Elliot, Mack, Eric and Dan are a few of my all-time favorite human beings. These guys have an insatiable appetite for fun and laughter; never in my life have I been immersed in such a welcoming and lighthearted environment. I believe our audiences can sense the love we have for one another when we take the stage. Each show so far has been different and fun in its own way and it's beautiful.
We are now mere hours away from our show at the Grand Little Theatre in Eau Claire. This is one of our biggest/most official shows of the tour (it's not in a basement), and I could feel our excitement shaking the van on our way here from Minneapolis earlier today. I hope all that are able decide to come to this one: it's sure to be a banger.
